@ United Nations (Thailand)
Trinity Test :Part One is an original multi-media dance opera commissioned in 2007 by UNESCAP for the 60th Anniversary celebration and conference in Bangkok. The piece was written, rehearsed and performed as a site specific work in the United Nations Conference Hall bringing together modern dancers, Khon dancers, live musicians, a full choir and Folk Dancers from Northern Thailand in a multi-national dialogue of movement, sound and imagery. The performance both celebrates and investigates the history and the presence of the United Nations in Asia. Deriving its content from United Nations documents such as the Kyoto Protocol and publications concerning the Asian Highway, the score delivers praise along with an urgent message of great responsibility on to the shoulders of its narrative’s hero, UNESCAP.
